Pierre Vanderstraeten

Architect, sociologist and town planner, Pierre Vanderstraeten works as Professor at the faculty of architecture, architectural engineering and town planning of the Université Catholique de Louvain; Scientific supervisor in CREAT – Centre de Recherches et d’Etudes pour l’Action Territoriale of the Université Catholique de Louvain; Town planner in VIA, private office in Brussels.

He is at the moment involved in sustainable urban and regional projects: shared public spaces design, ecoquarters, strategic planning for urban and regional development, guidelines for sustainable urban design, training in Crime prevention through environmental design.
